Frances Russell has been an RMT since 1995 and has accumulated a great deal of experience working with a wide variety of health conditions and injuries. Frances has treated athletes from the National level to the weekend warrior. In addition, she has completed the credentialing for ART (Active Release Techniques) Upper Extremities, Spine and Lower Extremities.
Frances’ work focuses on therapeutic treatment based massage and ART for patients dealing with soft tissue sprains and strains, nerve entrapments, overuse injuries, postural inefficiencies and structural/functional imbalances. To ensure that patients derive the utmost benefit from her treatments, Frances provides education for stretching, strengthening, postural awareness, biomechanical and occupational improvements. Frances works collaboratively with other health care providers within Kelowna whenever a teamwork approach would be optimum for her patients’ overall health and wellness. She is passionate about helping people overcome injury, encouraging a quick return to whatever their activity may be. Frances has competed in numerous Ironman events, marathons and ski Loppets in Ontario and internationally. Locally, she has competed in events such as the Interior Savings Ski to Sea race, Kelowna, the Prospera GranFondo Axel Merckx Okanagan in Penticton and the Interior Savings Across the Lake Swim, Kelowna. Frances and her husband enjoy local and international long distance cycling, hiking, and skiing events combining her passion for sports and travel.
