Reflexology

Reflexology is an ancient practice dating back to 4000 B.C, it is practiced in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Asia, Europe and North America. Reflexology is based on the theory that every part of the body is mapped out on the foot, and that by working these reflex points we can bring the body into balance and stimulate healing, allowing for a whole body treatment through the feet.

Reflexology is great for tired, achy feet, stress, anxiety, depression, trouble sleeping, plantar fasciitis, PMS, preventing and recovering from illness, high blood pressure, detoxing, and more.

What to expect during a treatment:

A treatment is 1 hour, consisting of 30 minutes on each foot. In the event of discomfort or injury the hands can be worked instead of the feet.

The techniques are similar to acupressure and massage, specific reflex points will be targeted with moderate pressure. Pain may be experienced in certain reflex points, but the treatment should be pain free and relaxing, most people will fall asleep it’s so relaxing!

You will be asked to roll your pants up to your knees so loose fitting pants are recommended. Your feet will be cleansed before beginning the treatment and the treatment will end with a leg massage to facilitate circulation.

People are always pleasantly surprised at how great they feel at the end of a treatment, even sensitive ticklish feet are okay due to the nature of the technique.

Come give reflexology a try and see what it can do for you!
