Kelowna RMT and founder of Affinity Family Wellness, focused on creating a space where patients feel truly seen, supported, and cared for.
Kyla Feddersen is the founder and clinical director of Affinity Family Wellness, a multidisciplinary clinic she established in 2011 with a vision to create something different in healthcare—an environment where people feel truly seen, supported, and cared for as individuals, not just patients.
With over 26 years of experience as a Registered Massage Therapist, Kyla brings both clinical expertise and a deeply personal understanding of what it means to live with and recover from injury. She is a graduate of both the Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy and the Wellington College of Massage Therapy in Regina, with advanced training in prenatal care, TMJ dysfunction, and modern pain science.
Kyla’s approach to care has been shaped not only by her professional experience, but by her own health journey. Having undergone multiple back surgeries, a knee surgery, and living through chronic headaches and migraines, she understands firsthand the physical and emotional toll that persistent pain can have. That lived experience allows her to connect with patients in a way that goes beyond clinical knowledge—meeting them with empathy, patience, and a genuine understanding of what they’re going through.
Many patients who worked with Kyla came to her after trying multiple approaches without lasting success—chronic pain, recurring injuries, or conditions that required a more thoughtful, whole-body perspective. Her approach has always been rooted in understanding the full picture: how the body moves, how injuries develop, and how to support long-term healing rather than short-term relief.
She is particularly experienced in treating chronic injuries, neck conditions, and TMJ dysfunction, including intra-oral techniques to relieve jaw and masticatory muscle pain. Her treatments integrate deep tissue work, fascial release, trigger point therapy, and targeted techniques designed to restore mobility and improve function.
But more than any specific technique, what defines Kyla’s work is her belief in whole-person care.
Her background as an athlete in gymnastics and horseback riding, combined with her personal experiences with injury and recovery, led her to build Affinity not as a collection of individual practitioners, but as a collaborative team working together to support patients at every stage of their health journey.
At Affinity, that vision comes to life through a shared commitment to responsibility, compassion, communication, and collaboration. From the first phone call to each treatment room, the goal is the same: to ensure every patient feels welcomed, heard, and supported.
While Kyla is not currently accepting new patients, her influence is reflected in every aspect of the clinic—from how care is delivered to how patients experience their time at Affinity.
For Kyla, wellness has never been about quick fixes. It’s about helping people feel better, move better, and live fuller lives—with a team beside them that genuinely cares.
