Kinesiologist | Concussion Rehab, Sports Injury & Exercise Prescription
Kelowna kinesiologist with both personal and professional experience in injury recovery, helping patients move forward with confidence.
Terryn Penner is a Kinesiologist at Affinity Family Wellness in Kelowna, BC. She holds a Bachelor of Human Kinetics and has completed post-graduate certification in concussion management, advanced exercise prescription, and functional capacity evaluations—training that allows her to confidently support more complex rehabilitation cases.
If you’re dealing with a concussion, recovering from a motor vehicle accident, or unsure how to safely return to activity, Terryn provides a clear path forward so you know exactly what to do next.
Many patients come to Terryn feeling stuck—unsure how to progress, worried about making things worse, or frustrated by slow recovery. Her approach focuses on building structure and momentum, helping you move forward step by step with confidence.
Terryn’s path to kinesiology is shaped by lived experience. As a competitive gymnast in trampoline and tumbling, her career ended following a motor vehicle accident at age 15. She spent years navigating surgeries, concussion recovery, and long-term rehabilitation, gaining a firsthand understanding of what recovery actually requires—both physically and mentally.
Her clinical focus includes certified concussion management, return-to-sport programming, injury rehabilitation, work conditioning, and functional capacity evaluations. She also provides ergonomic assessments to reduce strain and improve long-term function.
Her treatment style is structured, practical, and goal-oriented. She combines exercise-based rehabilitation, mobility work, and, where appropriate, hydrotherapy and yoga-based movement to create programs that are realistic and sustainable.
Terryn works extensively with patients managing chronic conditions, sports injuries, and workplace injuries, helping them return to daily activities, work, and sport with greater clarity and confidence.
Please note: Terryn does not treat prenatal patients or vertigo and will refer to appropriate colleagues when needed.
